Prego
Free event for OC restaurant week launch party. it's location in a business center and Prego is the only resturant in that plaza. after checking in, they offer free tequila and wine at the patio. we had some drinks and chilled at their bar area. we didn't know what to expected from it so we kinda waited to see what's up next. the food started to come out after a while. i had one of each kind and all tasted great. i am not too sure if they have other thing going on latter since we left early. =S
OC Japanese Fair
this year the Japan fair is inside the OC great park. i kinda went for the hot balloon~~ we went to take the hot balloon since there's no wait in the morning. the ride only takes about 5 min. but it's a fun experience. it was a really sunny hot day and i just love the orange ballon w/ blue sky looks in the picture.
we went to the fair afterward. it's a lot better than last year, a lot more food and game vendors. also a maid cafe and a main stage for the show. i saw manservant this time... awww... so weird.. i think girls looks cuter as maid.

Gift
Shoulder bag from michael kors.
it's my late late late~~~ x'mas gift + valentine's gift + B-day gift. lol~~ \^Q^/ i've been shopping nordstrom for a while and finally decided it. yeah~ new bag for work~ i was going to looks for something smaller and dressy looking. but they are out of my budget range... it's kinda simple looking, but goes along well~ this bag become kinda heavy when i put my wallet and key inside though.

Jazz Festival
we check out the Jazz fest in brea downtown. the performance was good, and there were a lot people. but the fest is kinds small. we finish it around 30 min and end up going to downtown Disney since we got nothing to do. we made just in time for the firework. there were a lot people sited outside the Disney waiting for the firework. you can't really see the lower one, but most of them were shot pretty high. the firework is much better and longer than the one we saw on July 4th.
There were a lot pumpkins decoration for Halloween. they are so cuteeeee~

Brunch @ Tustin Ranch Golf Club
we tried out the brunch since we got a coupon online. the selection is a lot smaller than i expected. they got omelet, waffle, prime beef, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, fruits & salads, and dessert. they also offer free champagne at the table. the experience was lovely, but i probably won't come here if i was paying regular price, $22. I'd chose over Castaways brunch, paying a little extra for a lot better selection. the dessert they have was just so so. i love the waffle the best! especially with their strawberry and whip cream~~ forgot to take picture though...

LA Fair
we went to LA fair during the labor day weekend since there's $1 promo if you enter before 1pm. we spend most of our money on food~~ we ordered a sausage hot dog and it was giant. it was pricey, but enough for 2 of us sharing. there's all kind of promo for the weekend. $1 drink 1-4pm & $1 game after 4pm. we waited until 4pm for the $1 games. we used it mostly on the booth games. but we were out of luck though.. didn't win any prize that day. :S

Beard Papa
Palomino
4 ★★★★ for the ambiance and the service
4 ★★★★ for the food
$$$ 50~100
we came to this restaurant since i got a coupon in my email. this place looks fancy with good vibe. it's located right next to the Hammer museum. we ordered the shrimp pasta and the scallop. $22 for pasta~~ so pricey~~ they got good food, but you are paying for what you got. i see the customers are mostly seniors... i guess student can't afford the price... they also got HH 24/7. maybe we'll come again for their HH next time.

Santa Monica Place
we stopped by the new santa monica shopping center and i was impressed. they change everything to outdoor now. since it's long weekend, the mall was full of people. i guess outdoor mall was more popular as well. i love their dinning area where you can see the view of the santa monica beach and alcohol was allowed. it's just like a roof top bar. the stores were more of high-end, almost like the south coast but in outdoor.
Hammer
Round 1
we decided to drop by and check out this play on Friday night. I heard round 1 was originally from Japan. I can tell since I see all their staffs are Japanese. they got bowling, crane machines, arcade games, karaoke, and billiards. the front door looks kind old and small, i wouldn't be interested in coming inside if i was just passing by. people thought it was a scam when they first heard it. lol~ we don't believe it could happen in this shitty mall.
