BLD brunch

there were a lot of people waiting for brunch and they go good food. i ordered the blueberry pancake. the house that holds the syrup is cute. after we are done, we walked over to MILK to get some ice cream. i had the banana flavor and babe had the thai ice tea macaroon, it was good, but i probably won't come back for it again. i just tried it b/c it got 2000 review on Yelp.

12 wks pregnant

i did my nuchal translucency screening test at san gabriel valley hospital. finally i can see the shape of the baby staring to develop. they also took blood sample for hCG and PAPP-A.

i only have a little tummy so far. that's maternity pants from H&M. my doctor said my umbilical cord is a bit small and suggest me to eat aspirin per day to help the baby to get more food.

Comic Con

1st time attending comic con in san diego. i've been to anime expo many time in OC, but never in comic con. thanks to my friend who had a vendor over there, so i got a chance to visit it. i felt there's more games, variety shows, TV dramas, toys instead of Japanese manga. we had india lunch buffet around the Gaslamp area since it's really close and dinner at Trattoria Fantastica in little italy afterword. i had the spicy shrimp spaghetti and it was pretty good. but i want to try the restaurant next door. the interior look so much fun.

Hollywood bowl

it's my 1st time watching the firework at hollywood bowl. they have concert for the 2nd half and firework at the end with orchestra. we brought food and drinks and enjoyed it during the show.

San Diego 1 day trip

we visit the Cabrillo National Monument and Old Town Historical Park. since i been to SD so many times, i think there isn't much new to explore. but the scenic is nice and worth another visit.

UCSD

we visit sd thanks to my school b/c i won a 2 night trip getaway to Humphreys Half Moon Inn. i was thinking to use it on the same weekend, but it was fully booked. so we have to look up hotel at hotel tonight.

we found a place located at little italy for $80 a night. it's pretty close to the shopping area and the room is decent. but more like a motel than hotel. we visit the sunset cliff after dinner and the place was beautiful.

Golden Corral

this place is grandly opened for several months. we went around 10:30am and there was a 15~20min wait ahead of us. the breakfast is $8.39 and lunch is $8.29 after 11am. haha~ we made it before 11am and got to taste both breakfast entries and lunch. after we got in, we saw another line for the grill steak, at least 10 people. the food was ok, but they got chocolate fountain and cotton candy which was something fun. the whole experience was fun and i enjoyed my brunch. i would said go at least once if you haven't been to. after we left the restaurant around 12pm, there were a very long line outside. so i would suggest to you to go early!

Summer BBQ

5th year Summer bbq!

Wedding @ St.Regis

beautiful place for a wedding. ceremony @ 4:30pm followed with cocktail and appetizers. the decor is very nice w/ a purple theme, but the food is okay. i love how they have photo booth and taco trucks at midnight. that was a lot of fun.

Dark Shadow

finally i can use the coupon i got online at grauman's chinese theater. it's nothing too excited since i just came here last week. the theater is big and it's pretty, but i think the seat in AMC is much more comfy. there were only a few people even it's a weekend. i wonder how could they make money out of it. i guess maybe on the tour. the movie is good. i kinda went just for Johnny Depp.
