Ichi Ichi

this place is almost like Jazz cat. they got a lot soup base to choose from and they also got fish cake in the meal. ^v^ luv fish cake. we ordered the Spicy Pork Bone & Thai coconut soup base. they are both pretty spicy and make my stomach burn afterward. Ichi has the "sauce bar" where you have to get the sauce by yourself. so i go free style on my sauce~ lol~ this is something really taiwanese IMO, buffet style hot pot. We happened to come during Happy Hour (M-F until 6:30pm), so we got 15% off entire check. i would definitely come back again before Jazz cat opens in RH.

the view was gorgeous! there were a lot people on Sat. and although we RSVP online, we still didn't get the seat with view.... too bad we can't experience the lunch with the view. it would be 5 stars if we were seated next to the ocean view.
i ordered spaghetti with clams. i was going to order the Gnocchi. but i changed my mind since i saw a lot other people order this one. but it didn't really wow me. just ok~ i would recommend the sea bass.
i would probably come here again for the dessert next time when there's less people to get the ocean view seat for sure. i just love the roof top restaurant in general.

Kagura

this place is rather small. it's in a plaza where i won't drive in. even if i do, i probably won't notice it.
they have the Tuesday special for $12.99, but i got the 3 course menu $28 since i want the dessert~~ ^w^ i ordered the rib eye steak and it's totally different than i image... ahh i should keep in mind that i am in a Japanese restaurant. it's more like a flat iron steak instead... it's pretty tasty with the garlic toasted sauce. i guess i was too hungry b/c everybody else dish look so good too.
the best part is the dessert~~ i never had Panna Cotta before and i luv it~ it's rich and creamy with matcha sauce on the side.

Blue Water Grill

we went for the seafood after whale watching. there were some restaurants around the Dana point harbor. but we cannot decide which one to eat, so we drive up to Irvine to find something new. it was kinda late at that time, so we end up with Blue water grill since it's the only place that doesn't need to wait which is fine since we always want to try this place out. i saw something i don't normally see on the menu. cioppino and paella!! aww~ i just can't decide. i end up ordered the Seafood Paella. but it was just so so, it's a bit dry and not really Spanish IMO. the one in Viva Madrid has better paella. now i miss some real paella...

Whale Watching

i saw blue whale!!! yeah~ today is my lucky day~~ i've been to whale watching twice already and i haven't seen a whale yet. last 2 time were from San Diego and i only see dolphins and sea lion. i didn't put too much hope on this trip. but we were lucky enough to see the whale~ we saw it splash couple time, but we only see it's tail once. it's was pretty excited to see the tail came up. we latter saw some dolphins~ they are so cuteeeee~ there weren't a lot of them, but they like to swim next to the boat so we got a good view of them.
so adorable ♥♥♥

Dragon Boat Festival

we checked out the dragon boat fest over the weekend. but i thought Chinese Tamale day passed long time ago... i guess it's just any activity among the dragon boat clubs and a lot UC schools were in the race. there's wasn't much to see in the fest beside supporting for you team. we kinda went to try out babe's new camera~~^w^ and the pictures came out great w/ the new lens~~

Inception

Finally!!! my inception!! i've been wanting to see this movie since the 1st time i saw the trailer. i like to watch Leonardo's movie b/c i think he always pick a good script. Inception needs a lot attention, otherwise it's hard to follow. i try to stay focus, but i must say Arthur(Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is cute!! i latter found out he's in "500 days of summer." aww~ what a cutie~ i love the 2nd dream they are in. the non-gravity scene in the hotel was stunning! but i don't like the ending... too tricky~~ i rather wish the director give us a clear answer to keep it simple and clean.

My House

clubbing @ my house. to be honest, i think the name itself is kinda confusing. but the idea is pretty cool and the place got a great vibe. we arrived at My House around 10:45pm and there wasn't really a long line. the dance floor was still pretty roomy when we got in. My House was actually smaller than i imaged. there's a bedroom upstairs, but i think it's reserved for the people to had table only, so i didn't got a chance to see it. too bad you can't really see the interior since it's kinda dark inside. i wouldn't tell there's a kitchen if i didn't check out their website beforehand. the dance floor got crowed latter, but it's still way better compare to the club in Vegas. i think that's why i like clubbing in LA a lot more. one thing i felt really funny about My House is there's a door man at the front before we went inside. we stood outside for a bit waiting for him to open the door for us. he said "Welcome to MY House" as he opened the door~ lol~~ makes me feel like i am in some kind of theme park. that's kinda funny~

Grill Clam

another restaurant recommend by my friend. i normally don't come to k-town for food b/c i don't speak the language + their waiters mostly don't speak English... such a hassle when ordering orz.. this place serves grill clams only~ all different kind of clams. we order the median combo plates which is enough for 4 ppl. it started with steam egg & rice, followed by the clams , scallops, octpus, shrimps, and ended with the noodles. it's something new to try. but this place is actually running out of business and the day we went was it's last day~~ it's kinda sad when i saw it's not even full when we walked in.

通天閣

i used to remember this place was always full of people every time i passed by. but i guess a lot more Japanese restaurant opened around area, so people start to go some where else. the service was not bad, but the food was just ok. we had the Octopus Salad which was just so so. i would recommend the salmon skin salad more. i had their dragon roll, but their roll falls apart easily... they now offer free ice cream and coffee at the end. but i guess it won't help me for coming back.
