Dark Shadow

finally i can use the coupon i got online at grauman's chinese theater. it's nothing too excited since i just came here last week. the theater is big and it's pretty, but i think the seat in AMC is much more comfy. there were only a few people even it's a weekend. i wonder how could they make money out of it. i guess maybe on the tour. the movie is good. i kinda went just for Johnny Depp.

Hollywood block party

5/19 for 3 hours only from 10am-1pm. freebies for cal. residence, show ID to attend. i attended the chinese theater tour which was short, only 30 min, but we wait in line for 30 min. i was planing to go to mademe tusssa, but i was too late and they were not allow any more people. sucks~~ they should be more generous and make it a full day event.

we decided to go for night view after the dinner. we started driving anywhere looking at the map on GPS and head into Hollywood mountain. as we go up the hill, luckily we saw a viewing area within the residential. There were couple of people there already watching over the hill. it's was sunset by the time we arrived and i love the view!! very romantic and pretty.

Dinner at Gonpachi. love the ambiance! the place is actually a lot small than it looks on the website. i imaged it as a big castle w/ a big garden. they also got 2nd floor seating area which is cool! i got the kabuki 5 course set for $45. it comes with starter, sashimi, skewers from the grill, cold soba, and dessert. babe got the gopachi course which is pretty much the same but with extra main course included. food presentation was nice and it all tasted good. i am kinda surprised this place is famous for their soba b/c it's not the best i've had and i can't really tell what's so special about it. but I love their dessert! i just wish they could change thing up in their courses. it's kinda boring to get same thing on different course.

obviously i came here for the ink squid risotto. love it! it tastes great with a splash of lemon! the lemon is the secret weapon and makes it so much better. the service was really nice and made us felt welcome. i think it's worth a drive for the risotto. i don't know any where else can i find it.

Bachelorette Party

We went to Hollywood Man show to celebrate girl friend's bechelorette party. since we want to get a good view, we paid $35 for the front seat. it's cool that we can take picture inside, but none of them are my cup of tea. =v= we were planning to go clubbing afterward, but our bride got so drunk so we had to call it off.

My House

clubbing @ my house. to be honest, i think the name itself is kinda confusing. but the idea is pretty cool and the place got a great vibe. we arrived at My House around 10:45pm and there wasn't really a long line. the dance floor was still pretty roomy when we got in. My House was actually smaller than i imaged. there's a bedroom upstairs, but i think it's reserved for the people to had table only, so i didn't got a chance to see it. too bad you can't really see the interior since it's kinda dark inside. i wouldn't tell there's a kitchen if i didn't check out their website beforehand. the dance floor got crowed latter, but it's still way better compare to the club in Vegas. i think that's why i like clubbing in LA a lot more. one thing i felt really funny about My House is there's a door man at the front before we went inside. we stood outside for a bit waiting for him to open the door for us. he said "Welcome to MY House" as he opened the door~ lol~~ makes me feel like i am in some kind of theme park. that's kinda funny~
