Grand Canyon & Sedona

today is the longest drive of the trip. we spend 5 hrs driving from vegas to Grand Canyon and another 3 hrs to sedona, then another 2 hrs to phoenix. we arrived grand canyon around 12pm and the sun was out, but only for an hour or so. we can see and hear the storm coming while we were at the canyon. the storm soon became really big and windy that we can't really take the tour and enjoy the scenic. it really sucks after all the drive to be able to see it for so short. since the storm doesn't look like it will stop, we then moved on to sedona.
we arrived around 5:30pm since there was a bit of traffic on the way. then we found out red rock park closed at 5pm! omg... what a nightmare... i forget to check the park hours.... so we end up stopping at the scenic point by the freeway.

Las Vegas

Mirage Buffet
we left LA around 6:30am and drove straight to Mirage for brunch. since i had coupon from last time, we only spend $20 bucks for our brunch! sweet!
Bellagio Garden
4th July weekend w/ liberty bell. i love how bellagio has different theme for each holiday.

Friend's Wedding

this place is actually where my prom night at! what a surprise! omg..brought back my high school memory. anyway, came back here for my friend wedding! the place was beautiful, didn't realize that back then.

Olive Garden

i haven't eat at olive garden for a long time~ since i often hard bad comments about this place, it's not my 1st choice on Italian restaurant. i guess the only one way to find out is to try it and the food actually turned out pretty good. the pasta is similar as macaroni grill and i think is even better than Maggiano's or Buca. Maggiano's & Buca just got big portion but not really to my taste.

Heritage Park

i heard this park from my co-worker and checked it out over the weekend. This park was really nice. a lot bigger than i thought with good photo spots. Obviously the place is for kids, but i think it's a nice place to stop by for a walk.

McKinley's Grille

i forget to write about it until now. we went to McKinley's Grille for mother's day dinner. we got $75 gift certificate from restaurant.com when spending over $150. it's located inside Sheraton hotel. the place looks nice, but it's very empty since it's a hotel restaurant. their main entry is decent. the steak is flavorful. but we all got the same side which is kinda boring. i also like their cream burlee. they severed in 3 flavors including the regular, raspberry, and chocolate. but i would not recommend their ahi-tuna. it's dry, hard and tasted bad. their appetizers are just so so as well. their service was nice and i enjoyed the meal, but i probably won't come back again w/ the price i am paying. For a hundred buck, i rather try out other steak house instead.

Summer BBQ

4th year bbq. time flown~ it's the 3rd time i attended the event. every year we have bbq at the same beach~ too bad that day was a bit too cold... we went for board game at friend house afterward.

Marie Callenders

seasonal strawberry pie~~
the pie tasted great, but the whole buying experience sucks!! the waiter did not mention whip cream was extra $2. i found out the pie has no whip cream when i opened it up at home and i had to go back for it. i don't care about paying extra $2 for it, but the waiter didn't even care to ask. what a bad service.

Palamino

another free meal on b-day~ we got busy when it comes to May. so many deals we can get on our b-day. we been here before and we all love the food. but there's a little drama happened while we were eating. other table had an argument and even the police came afterward. lucky we were not involved.

Godiva

i saw the buy 3 get 1 free while shopping~ they now have ice cream flavors, and godiva chocolate also give you 1 chocolate every month when you sign up for their member w/ your email address. what a great deal!!
